OEM Car Stereo Repair (Factory Car Stereo Repair)

OEM car stereo refers to the factory car stereo that comes with the vehicle. OEM stereos are normally made by the stereo equipment manufacturers for the automobile manufacturers. Common makes of OEM stereos include Bose, Infinity, Pioneer, Alpine, Siemens, and so on.

We are equipped to repair OEM car stereos. We have necessary equipment and tools to trouble shoot OEM car stereo problems, and our technicians are MECP certified.

Aftermarket car stereo is superior over OEM car stereo in functions and features. Its technology is more up to date. One the other hand, OEM car stereo is built to last. Moreover, it is custom made for your vehicle. It fits the vehicle better cosmetically and acoustically.

For some vehicles, the sound system has multiple components in stead of just the stereo itself. For example, it has separately a DVD player and an overhead LCD video screen, a satellite radio tuner or navigation module, a power amplifier that drives more than four speakers in the car. In these cases, it's better to retain the OEM car stereo. This is because these components connect to your OEM car stereo through non-standard computer links. They will not work with any aftermarket car stereo. If you replaced the OEM car stereo with an aftermarket car stereo, these components will stop working and you can not make any use of them.

Repair of OEM car stereo normally requires the vehicle. After bringing in the vehicle, our technician will first confirm the problem in the vehicle, then remove the stereo and check it on the bench. After we locate the problem, we will call you first to give you the estimation. If you approved the repair, we would proceed with repair, test it in the vehicle, and call you to pick up after the repair is done. In some circumstances, the repair needs more time to complete, e.g. waiting for parts. You can pick up the vehicle to drive without the stereo.
